christmas cards

My blog has been noticeably suffering from a great deal of neglect this year, especially these past few months. I’ve been sorting through some things in my life, and this has resulted in not knowing what to say or how to say it, and therefore not saying anything just for the sake of filling up posts.

I want my blog to be a place where I write what I’m passionate about – thoughts & people alike. What makes me laugh or cry, what grabs my soul and makes me think. A place where I share from real life, not just another collection of well-meaning spiritual rhetoric and lofty quotes of inspiration. Sometimes that can be hard to do. But I’m convinced that God’s touch is found in everything from answered prayers to eating ice cream, and much like a singer singing a song they don’t really care about, if it doesn’t mean anything to me, I certainly can’t help it mean much to anyone else.

With that in mind, I’m looking forward to 2008 with hope for new inspiration and a fresh perspective for this blog. I plan to return to regular blogging sometime in January, both in private and public postings. This probably doesn’t mean my sporadic posting cycle will vanish altogether, but hopefully it will be shelved on the bottom rack.

Thank you for your patience. And a special thanks to each and every one of you who have left me encouraging comments over the last year. You remind me that God still has a purpose and a use for my blog in this corner of the web.

Until next year…Merry Christmas & God bless you!

Hannah

Tomorrow’s the big day! The Rebelution Tour ’07 is making its last stop in Indianapolis, IN. Lord willing and so long as nothing earth-shattering happens, I plan to be there.

Alex & Brett Harris are two amazing and incredibly inspirational young men who live what they talk about. (Read more about them in this issue of BreakAway Magazine) They have a passion for our generation, and I’ve been challenged by their blog and message of “Do Hard Things” many times over the past couple years. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to finally meet the two of them in person!

(Yes, yes…I’m taking my camera. *smile*)

Fudge is setting in the fridge (shhh…not a word) and 4 am comes early, so I’m off to put a few things in order and attempt a few hours of sleep. Wouldn’t want to doze off in the middle of a session, now would I?

Stay tuned for a full report!

I’m on vacation. A real summer vacation. Seven days down and about five more to go! I’m having a wonderful time visiting & relaxing, seeing new sights and meeting new people. I meant to blog sooner, but somehow getting all my clothes in the suitcase seemed more important at the time. hehehe. And I’d give you a picture but this computer doesn’t like me, so that will have to wait.

As to where in the world I actually am…if you know, you know, and if you don’t, you will when I get home. hehe.

Well, my vacation is calling, so I gotta run. Keep looking up…God never forgots you, so don’t YOU forget Him.

Adios!

…this is your captain speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts, fold up your trays, and return your seats to their upright position. We may experience some turbulence.

Okay, nevermind. This is the the blog master, Hannah's brother. A WordPress upgrade to the latest and greatest release should be underway shortly. You might experience some problems reaching the site during the upgrade.

Oh, and sister, by the way, if something goes horribly wrong and everything is lost, I hereby disavow all responsibility. :P ;)

Hello friends! Good news – I'M BACK!!! After laying dormant for a month now (which I do believe is a record on my part), my blog is being returned to regular use. *cheers*

Your visits will once again be welcomed with new posts full of ponderings and pictures, and new music in the radio. I've missed blogging a great deal, and I'm MOST happy to be back. *smile*

First up: Pictures from that camping trip….

I know, you're all sitting there thinking, "It's about time that girl showed up!". Seems that my poor blog (and it's readers) have been much neglected as of late. And it's not that I'm unable to post; I've just chosen not to blog anything for the time being, or at least not very much. Ah, sweet freedom. ;-)

Vacation (camping in the wilds of West Virginia) is filling up my calendar next week, but I'll be back, and I'll be bringing a fresh new blog face along with me. You'll just have to sit tight and be patient until such a time. Meanwhile, enjoy the [more lively than usual] tunes on the radio. :-)

Blog renovation in progress…thanks for your patience.

As you've probably noticed, I've taken a temporary vacation from my blog. I'm not sure when or how I often I will be posting again for awhile yet. My laptop was out of commission for a long while, but there are also some things in my life that I'm sorting out. All this means that blogging isn't currently high on my priority list or my want to do list either, for that matter. But I'll be back, and those of you who know me always know where to find me. :)

Thanks for the feedback on my sidebar…everything should be appearing correctly now for those of you with IE. I figured out (rather, my bro suggested to me) that it was my radio giving me the problem, so I re-arranged things a bit and that seems to have worked. Yah! :)

My blog template has been acting up, so I need your help to get a better idea of what the problem is. Please (anyone & everyone) tell me what browser you're using (netscape, explorer, firefox, etc) and whether or not the sidebar on my blog is showing up on the right side (where is SHOULD be  ) or waaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom of the page (where it definitely should NOT be… Tongue out).

Thanks! :)
