It would seem that the blogging phase of my life has risen and…fallen. I don’t feel like I have much to offer in the way of meaningful posts these days. Apologies to all my friends who would rather I at least post a crazy picture or write something about local life instead of waiting for deep inspiration to hit.
So in that interest…the latest road trip of mine and my mom’s took us to Chicago for a couple nights. It was my first time in the popular town, which I found quite exciting…we won’t mention the stress of trying to figure out how to GET anywhere. I didn’t get to soak in as much of the city as I would’ve liked due to our rushed timetable, but I was able to do a few special things. And here’s the proof!
Entering downtown…
It took me 10 years, but I finally fulfilled my little girl wish!
the only place you’ll see one of these in the bathroom…
random downtown

….eating deep dish Chicago style pizza! YummO!
ready for a night out with friends at the Navy Pier on Lake Michigan

good Chicago memories!

Wow, that looks like so much fun, Hannah! I love Chicago. I have been to the American Girl Place too… isn’t it fun and nostalgic? :-)
Looks like a super fun trip! Great pictures.
Your (random) posts make me miss you so much, Hannah!! It’s been entirely too long!! Your family is certainly due for a visit our here to the great plains of Kansas!! :)
Looks like you had a awesome time in Chicago!! Whoohoo! What a place! I’ve only been there once and ummmmm….actually didn’t do that much touring or sightseeing, unless standing in a front yard staring at the neighbor’s house is considered ‘sightseeing’!! :)
Missing you Bunches!
Love Ya!
Very nice pictures! Cool place, Chicago is. My kind of town… :)
Although I am definitely NOT a big city kind of gal, I was glad to see the Windy City at least once in my life :-) Don’t ever want to go back though…once was more than enough for me :-)
Cool pics!
Hey Hannah,
Looks like y’all had a lot of fun! Chicago sounds like it would be a very interesting place to see! I’ve only been to a couple of big cities– Washington, D.C., and Nashville, if you can call Nashville a big city!– and I liked the latter a lot better.
By the way, I just watched some of Dream On and successfully found you in the audience! :D
Oh, and Mama ran into this elderly lady at the library this afternoon who was wearing a Sig Sound shirt….Mama told her that our whole family loves them, and the lady said, “Oh, have you seen them in Louisville? I love seeing them in Louisville!” :D Small world in terms of EH&SS fans!! :)
