My blog has been noticeably suffering from a great deal of neglect this year, especially these past few months. I’ve been sorting through some things in my life, and this has resulted in not knowing what to say or how to say it, and therefore not saying anything just for the sake of filling up posts.
I want my blog to be a place where I write what I’m passionate about – thoughts & people alike. What makes me laugh or cry, what grabs my soul and makes me think. A place where I share from real life, not just another collection of well-meaning spiritual rhetoric and lofty quotes of inspiration. Sometimes that can be hard to do. But I’m convinced that God’s touch is found in everything from answered prayers to eating ice cream, and much like a singer singing a song they don’t really care about, if it doesn’t mean anything to me, I certainly can’t help it mean much to anyone else.
With that in mind, I’m looking forward to 2008 with hope for new inspiration and a fresh perspective for this blog. I plan to return to regular blogging sometime in January, both in private and public postings. This probably doesn’t mean my sporadic posting cycle will vanish altogether, but hopefully it will be shelved on the bottom rack.
Thank you for your patience. And a special thanks to each and every one of you who have left me encouraging comments over the last year. You remind me that God still has a purpose and a use for my blog in this corner of the web.
Until next year…Merry Christmas & God bless you!
